Biography
In the sixties, while Rob van Hemert (1949-2021) frequented the Art Academy, he ‘lost’ his soul and mind into art, listening to the sounds of Jazz by Charlie Parker, Ornette Coleman, Eric Dolphy and so many more. The almost abstract music and the fact that he, simultaneously studied at the Polytechnic Institute, forever shaped his image of art.
During his fulltime career as an artist, Rob van Hemert expressed his art in many ways. Each time applying different disciplines. Each expression – often under various pseudonyms – marks meaningful stages in his life. And each stage, a motivation for the next art expression.
He always was into geometric patterns.
Its simplicity expressed an indescribable tension.
Each art expression was a new path.
Wall Wire Art
In general, Rob wire art is supposed to be free of frames so that it can be exposed in every possible angle. However, Rob’s believed that anyone should be completely free and did not oppose to framing his artwork, if that reflected an owener’s personal interpretation. You may even find some of his wire artworks framed on this website. Above all, Rob defended personal freedom. And he provided to each and everyone.
