Retrospective Paintings and Sculptures (heteronyms): 2010 - 2011 (Ybbor49) 2007 - 2009 (Ybbor) 2001 - 2006 (Rohe) 1983 - 2000 (a.o. Loets) 1969 - 1982 (Jaro) Throughout my career as a full time artist, I have felt the urge to express myself in different styles of art (paintings and sculptures mainly). Each of them marks a significant period in my life, each period being instrumental and an incentive towards the next achievement. Had I been a poet, I would have had heteronyms. This literary concept by my favourite poet Fernando Pessoa while referring to his many signatures, each creating and bringing to life different personas ascribes the way I do art in different styles. Lines from the poem 'Tabacaria' (Alvara de Campos, heteronym de Pessoa): _"I am nothing, I shall never be anything, I cannot wish to be anything. Aside from that, I hold within me, all the dreams of the world"_. Since 2011, my focus is on "sculptures. It feels as the ultimate attempt to escape the flat expression of my earlier canvas work and a means of giving a 3-dimensional depth to the geometric framework of my thoughts.
